It covers drums and preset kits for anything from hard rock to metal.

The Metal Foundry SDX was recorded and produced at the noted Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, Sweden by drummer Tomas Haake (Meshuggah), Mattias Eklund (Toontrack), Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah) and Daniel Bergstrand (Dugout Studio). Welcome to the metal foundry, the ironworks where the most massive body of drums wait for you to be honed, harnessed and molded into shape. if those drummers float your boat then I think you can find the additional value in the package to justify the $60.The Metal Foundry SDX presents one of the most comprehensive recordings in the history of the company, featuring seven unique drum kits spanning 300,000 sound files of raw, single hit drum recordings. adjust the tempo, combine stuff for novel / new fills, don't worry about your 1/2 - 1-hour lesson clock ticking away. Want to take a lesson with Tomas Hakke and/or Gene Hogland? well then there are more than a few grooves and fills that you can work with to your hearts content. If you're using the tool to expand your drumming vocabulary - the more variety the better. If you're using the tool for songwriting this is extremely handy to have - the more variety the better. However, there are more to these packages than just sounds and that is the midi library / groove library. If all you're looking for are different sounds, this package may not float your boat. Also the Jocke Skog #3 Loose Stone is in the same vein. I got it (albeit more than a few years ago) essentially for one kit in the "Preset" library called Shaved & Ready (Tonteknik Studio > #4 P&E Shaved & Ready) because I thought it was so accurate to the sound that I have of my acoustic kit (big Ludwig kit with 26" bass drums). You should use the video resources from Toontrack on YT to do a real compare and contrast before making a final decision. Any good? Already have Death and Darkness so is there any point getting it?Yes it's good!
